PGA Class "A" Director of Instruction - Mike Silva

A Sacramento native, Mike started his career at Haggin Oaks, in 1969 Mike began working in the club repair department, eventually heading up the repair service, gaining extensive experience with repairs and component club assembly. At the same time Mike enrolled as an Apprentice Golf Professional.


 

PGA Class "A" Teaching Professional - Bill Childs

Bill has 30 years experience in the golf industry and is revered as one of the leading PGA instructors in Northern California. His teaching method utilizes technical expertise to develop athletic skills and movement patterns that allow golfers of all ability levels to enhance their enjoyment of the game.


 

PGA Class "A" Teaching Professional - Jeff Tauscher

A member of the PGA of America and former teaching professional at the Royal Kaanapali Golf Resort, Maui, Hawaii. Jeff has taught students of all levels for more than 30 years.




 

Teaching Professional - Marilyn Herbert

Marilyn Herbert has worked with golfers of various backgrounds and skill levels in her more than 20 years as a professional golfer. Her career in golf began in junior golf and then on the Mini Tours both on the East and West coasts.

PGA Class "A" Director of Instruction - Bud Perkins

Bud Perkins is a a Class "A" member of the PGA of America and has been playing golf for forty-plus years and teaching professionally for the last ten years.




 

 
 Teaching Professional -  Dale Smith

A professional golf instructor with many years teaching men, women and junior golfers, Dale Smith teaches beginners the basics of the golf swing in a manner which makes them feel comfortable and puts them at ease. One of Dale’s major objectives in working with beginners is to allow them to enjoy the wonderful game of golf.


 

Teaching Professional - Jason Penman

Jason Penman is 35 years old and has been with Woodcreek Golf Club for five years. During that time he has been a Pro Shop Assistant and Golf Instructor.  He has also participated in the Professional Golf Management program with the PGA.



 

Teaching Professional - Fran Cone

Fran is a swing and lady golfer specialist. She is a USGTA certified instructor, and has been playing the game for over 40 years.

Teaching Philosophy:  I am very excited to pass on my passion and knowledge of the game.  There are some fundamentals that every golf swing must have; however I believe that each person has their own learning style, physical abilities and goals.
